24MEDIA and Turkish Airlines Euroleague solidify their business partnership

During the  2014 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four, which took place in Milan May 16-18, 2014, 24MEDIA and Euroleague  Basketball took steps to solidify their business partnership. 

While the Editorial Team of Euroleague Greece was making sure fans were getting the best possible Final Four coverage, the 24MEDIA executive management team had a chance to meet with Euroleague Officials.

Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the project so far and confirmed their mutual commitment to the partnership for the upcoming season of 2014-2015. New ways for additionally strengthening the official Turkish Airlines Euroleague Destination in Greece were discussed.

The localized version, which is hosted in a dedicated section of Sport24.gr, is a model example of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague global strategy, and is used as a case study for the League’s expansion strategy through localized version. As reported in a recent press release issued by Euroleague  Basketball on April 2014, “Sport24.gr of Greece boosted the Turkish Airlines Euroleague traffic in that country by almost 400%”.

Alex Ferrer Kristjansson, Euroleague Basketball Brand and Communication Director, stated: “Our partnership with Sport24.gr has helped us in reaching our objective of getting the Turkish Airlines Euroleague closer to our Greek fans. Auctions Of Love 2014

Make your bid for a good cause.

The CSR activity kick started today and will be completed on May 16th.  “Auctions of Love” are organized by 24MEDIA for a 4th consecutive year through its most popular sports websites, Sport24.gr, Contra.gr, Redplanet.gr and Prasinanea.gr.

A variety of collectible sports objects by highly popular teams and athletes will be auctioned through our sports websites, with revenues being donated in support of KAAPV Voula, a center for the recovery and treatment of children with special needs (formerly known as PIKPA Voulas).

Signed jerseys and signed balls from all the big Greek football and basketball clubs (Olympiacos FC & BC, Panathinaikos FC & BC, Paok FC, Aek FC etc.), as well as items from international sports personalities and teams like Kyle Hines, Steven Gerrard, Roy Carroll, Real Madrid and the NBA Sixers are included in this year’s auctions.

24MEDIA supports SOS Children's Villages

The purpose of SOS children’s Villages is to help children who are in need of care because they have lost their parents or are homeless for any other reasons.

In view of Christmas holidays, SOS Children's Villages asked everyone to support them in collecting food, clothes and toys.

24MEDIA and its employees responded to this call and collected a total of 14 large boxes , of which four were filled with food and ten with clothes, shoes and toys. Moreover, 24MEDIA, sent an Xbox 360,to the SOS Children's Village in Vari.

People from SOS Children's Villages thanked  24MEDIA for their effort in gathering the above mentioned. They also stated that they have never seen such quality in clothing, shoes and toys like the ones that were donated.

The biggest satisfaction for 24MEDIA and its employers is the fact that they gave children the opportunity to smile at the opening of a gift.

Based on donations submitted by runners, 1260 euros were gathered in total, and were donated to KETHEA STROFI, a comprehensive network of services for young drug users (aged 13- 21) and their families.The amount donated will be used foracquiring audiovisual material, for the Kethea Strofi radio station located in Agios Panteleimon.

Dynamic Presence for SPORT24 at the 31st Athens Classic Marathon

Sport24.gr was once again the Official Communication Sponsor of 31st Classic Marathon, which was held on November 10, 2013.

SPORT24 supported the running team of "#1morekm" and participated with 109 runners on the 5km, 10 km road races and the marathon. Based on donations submitted by runners, 1260 euros were gathered in total, and were donated to the people of KETHEA (Therapy Center for Dependent Individuals) and particularly to KETHEA STROFI, a comprehensive network of services for young drug users (aged 13- 21) and their families.

In addition, Sport24.gr offered media coverage of this major sport event with a variety of articles, news, interviews and competitions with free registration for its readers as a prize. The actual event of Sunday the 10 of November was covered live through the SPORT24 live blog platform.

It is worth mentioning that this year the number of total registrations marked a  new record of more than 30,000 runners registered at all distances, who surpassed themselves and contributed to the efforts of non-governmental organizations and foundations  to raise funds.
